Personal Accident insurance provides cover for members if they are injured. This policy provides financial assistance with Non-Medicare Medical Expenses, Loss of Income and Capital Benefits.

This policy covers Diving Australia and all its State/Territory Associations and Clubs including all members, temporary/trialling members, officials, accredited coaches, executives and voluntary workers.

What is the scope of cover?
The insured is covered whilst participating in sanctioned Diving Australia activities, including;
Official events
Playing and training
Official social events and fundraising activities
Travel to and from the above activities

2 – 100 years of age

WHAT IS COVERED? – PUBLIC & PRODUCTS LIABILITY AND PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE
Public & Products Liability insurance provides protection for insured entities and persons that are held liable for a negligent act that results in property damage or bodily injury. Professional Indemnity insurance provides protection for coaches or officials if they are held liable for an error or incorrect advice which results in injury or property damage to a third party.

What are the Insured Activities?
Administration, promotion, organisation and participation in diving activities including sanctioned training sessions and training camps, sanctioned coaching, the rendering of first aid, provision of food and drink, publication of newsletters, sale of merchandise, property owners or property occupiers liability, social activities including awards presentations, fundraising, BBQs and other social gatherings.

WHAT IS COVERED? – MANAGEMENT LIABILITY INSURANCE
Management Liability insurance covers your Club’s Directors and Officers for a range of financial risks they may encounter in the performance of their role. This includes costs associated with legal action if sued for negligence, libel, slander, defamation or discrimination, costs associated with employment related matters (unfair dismissal) and crime (losses sustained through dishonest or fraudulent acts or omissions).
Who is insured under this policy?
Directors and Officers of Diving Australia and all affiliated State Associations and Territories, including all affiliated Clubs and any appointed sub committees, subsidiary and/or related Corporations as defined under Australian Corporations Law and/or financiers and all parties for whom the Insured undertakes to insure for their respective rights, interests and liabilities.

What is the limit of liability?
$5,000,000 any one loss and $10,000,000 in the aggregate during the period of insurance.
Where are you covered?
The indemnity provided under this policy extends to a wrongful act occurring anywhere in the world but shall not include any claim made in or determined pursuant to the law of the USA or Canada.
